Daily hire charges

The daily hire charges include unlimited kilometres and GST (12.5%) charges.

All charges are calculated on a daily basis for motor homes and a 24-hour basis for cars. Vehicles are available at 8.30am on the day you commence your hire and must be returned by 4:00pm at the termination of the hire, unless prior arrangements are made.

Deposits & payments

A deposit of NZ$500 is required to secure the booking. The balance of monies owing is due 14 days before vehicle pick-up.

Insurance

A compulsory insurance charge of NZ$14 per day (included in the quoted price) covers your hire vehicle, third party and public liability insurance to NZ$1,000,000. The hirer is liable for the first NZ$1500 (NZ$3000 for drivers under 25) of any damage caused in any one accident. The bond paid at the commencement of the hire is to cover this.

Bond

All hirers are subject to a bond of NZ$1500 inclusive of GST (NZ$3000 for drivers under 25 years) payable at the commencement of hire. This bond is fully refundable if the vehicle has not been involved in an accident, and is returned in a reasonably clean and undamaged condition. It is company policy to take a signed imprint of a credit card for the bond.

Bond Waiver Insurance

Insurance charge of NZ$10.00 per day (NZ$20.00 for drivers under 25 years) can reduce the Bond to $750.00, a further $14.00 per day can reduce the Bond to Nil.

Hire Periods & One Way Hires

For all rentals there is a minimum period of five (5) days. It is possible to commence your hire in Christchurch and finish it in Auckland (or vice versa) at no extra charge if the rental period is a minimum of fourteen (14) days.

Refunds

Regretfully no refunds can be given for any unused portion of your holiday.

Fuel

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the hire and must be returned with a full tank at the end of your hire.

Vehicle Substitution & Design

We shall make every effort to provide the vehicle you requested but where a vehicle is unavailable for any reason we reserve the right to provide a comparatively high standard vehicle at no extra cost to you. Whilst including the same facilities, vehicle layouts may vary slightly to those shown due to manufacturer design changes.

Drivers Requirements & Licences

All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and hold a current valid drivers licence. The licience has to be produced at the start of hire. An international or country of origin licence is acceptable. No special licence is required to drive a motor home in New Zealand.

Depots

Depots are currently located, near motorways, in both Christchurch and Auckland. All hires commence and finish at our depots.

Transfers

We will either met you at the Airport or arrange a Taxi/shuttle to transfer you to our depot. This allows you to transfer at your convenience. The transfer on vehicle pickup is complimentary.

Traffic Infringements

Any traffic infringements are the responsibility of the hirer.
