DRIVING
Seating configuration: Seating for three with seatbelts in the driving cab (not recommended for three adults).
Radio/cassette: Radio/cassette player, speakers in driving cab.
Fuel Consumption: Approximately 8 km per litre/13 litre per 100 km. This may vary, subject to use of air conditioning, temperature and terrain.
Diesel price in NZ: 60-70 cents per litre, depending on town of purchase.
Engine Specifications: 4.2 litre diesel.
Transmission: 5 speed manual transmission with 4WD Hi + Low Ratio.
Power Equipment: Power steering, four wheel drive.
Tyres: Tyre pressures should be checked regularly. The axles are to be locked when switching to 4WD and unlocked for 2WD.
Spare Tyre: The spare tyre is located on the back door.
Tools: Standard manufacturers tool kit supplied (contains jack, wheelbrace, screwdriver, pliers, adjustable spanner). Rental of the outback safety kit is recommended if travelling in isolated regions
LIVING
Sleeping configuration: 1 double bed in roof canopy 2.0m x 1.3m, one fold out single bed 1.9m x 1.0m.
Fridge Freezer: The fridge operates on 12V battery whilst driving and on 240V mains when plugged in at a camp ground. The fridge will automatically switch over between the two supplies. Fridge capacity 55 litre. There are two 12V batteries, one for starting the engine and the other for domestic 12V system. This system includes fridge. Batteries are recharged by engine alternator and 240V mains.
BBQ Gas Cooker: 2 ring camping cooker.
Gas Bottle: A 2 kg gas bottle. Bottle has an 'ON/OFF' tap on it. Please ensure it is in the 'OFF' position when not in use and when driving.
Water heater: Not applicable, cold water only.
Fresh Water Tank: Capacity is 62 litre fresh water (in two 20 litre tanks) and water pump is operated by hand.
Grey water tank: Capacity is 42 litre.
Lighting: Double fluorescent light operates off 12V battery.
Storage: . Under bench seat in rear cabin. For hirers picking up and dropping off at the same Tui branch, luggage can be stored at no cost
Skylights: One in living area.
Fly Screens: On windows in living area.
Flooring: Easy to care for linoleum.
Exterior Access: Back door, no exterior doorstep.
